I installed windows operating system on my computer with Ubuntu Operating system in one of the partitions. I discovered that the system started booting into Windows without giving me the option to choose which operating system I would like to boot into.

Do you want to know How I resolved it? check the comments section.

This worked on Windows 10:

  1. Fronm Windows settings, choose "Update & Security"
  2. Choose "Recovery" Then you would see "Advanced Start up" on the right pane, click on the button that says "Restart Now" under advanced start up option.
  3. After the system restarts, you will be presented with a screen that shows more options, select "TroubleShoot", then "Advanced Option"
  4. From there , choose UEFI Firmware Settings" It will prompt you to restart the system
  5. After the system retstarts,  You will see a screen that shows Windows Boot Manager, if this is the only option you have
  6. Add Boot option, you will then be able to select from the alternative OS (Ubuntu in this case)
  7. When you have two boot options, uncheck the Windows option
  8. It will automatically use Ubuntu to start up.
I hope this helps
